A professor once told me in a critique that he thought that dogs in photographs generally discredited the photos as serious pieces of art, but when dogs apeared in my work, it was different. He said that he felt that they were as much a part of what was going on in the photo as anything else, and were on the same level as the humans featured. I believe that sentiment belies the relationship I have with my own dogs, as well as others! Following are some dog-oriented photos, but you'll notice dogs in my other work frequently, too!
